Architecture and interior photography

A building is photographed much like a face: everything depends on the hour and the angle. I work the volumes, the lines and the natural light to give your spaces images you can use anywhere — presentation documents, website, brochure, press. Commercial usage rights are included.

Who it's for

Images made to be published, not to document.

Architects & practices

Photographing a completed project for the reference portfolio, competitions and the trade press.

Interior designers

Conveying an atmosphere, materials and colours that a plan cannot show.

Hotels & restaurants

Rooms, dining spaces, terraces: the images that decide a booking before anyone reads the text.

Property & development

Presenting a property or a development with something better than phone snapshots.

02

What's included

A day on site, the processing of the images, and the rights to use them.

Interiors and exteriors
Façades, volumes, circulation, finishing details: the building and what happens inside it.
HDR processing
Several exposures merged so the interior and the view through the window both hold, with no blown highlights or blocked shadows.
Corrected verticals
The lines of the building stay straight. That is the detail separating architecture photography from a picture of a building.
High-resolution delivery
Files that work on screen and in print, without a second shoot.
Commercial rights included
Website, brochure, press kit, social media: you use the images for your business with no additional fee.
Quoted projects
The day rate is CHF 990. For a wider project, several sites or a specific need, I quote individually.

How it works

In architecture, half the work happens before the shutter is pressed.

The brief

You tell me what the images are for and how many you need: a competition entry does not call for the same framing as a sales brochure. Plans, project visuals or simple scouting photos help me prepare.

Choosing the hour

The orientation of the façades decides when we shoot, not the diary. We set the day around the building's exposure and the weather, with a fallback date if the sky does not cooperate.

The shooting day

Tripod, level, several exposures per framing. We move room by room or façade by façade, adjusting whatever strays into frame: a cable, a misplaced chair, a reflection.

Processing and delivery

Merging the exposures, correcting perspectives, balancing artificial and natural light. You receive the high-resolution files within the agreed deadline.

Frequently asked questions

What architects and agencies ask before commissioning.

What exactly do the usage rights cover?
You can use the images for your own communication: website, brochures, presentation and press kits, social media, with no additional fee. Resale to a third party or a paid advertising campaign is specified in the quote.
What does HDR processing actually bring?
An interior with windows exceeds what a single frame can record: either the room is correct and the window is white, or the opposite. Merging several exposures of the same framing keeps both — a readable room and the landscape visible through the glass.
Do the premises need preparing?
Yes, and it saves the most time. Clean rooms, clear surfaces, cables tidied away, all bulbs working and ideally of the same colour temperature. On site I keep adjusting details frame by frame.
How many photos for one day?
It depends entirely on the building and the intended use: a few carefully worked frames for a competition entry, or broader coverage for a brochure. We agree on the expected number at the briefing, which is safer than a blanket promise.
Can you photograph an occupied or furnished property?
Yes. A lived-in interior simply needs some tidying and sometimes a few pieces of furniture moved, which are put back afterwards. For a property on the market, good images make a clear difference to the number of viewings.
Do you work outside the Swiss Riviera?
Yes, across French-speaking Switzerland. Travel is CHF 1 per kilometre beyond the region; for a distant or multi-day project everything appears in the quote.
What happens if it rains on the day?
Exteriors are postponed: a façade under a grey sky does not do the project justice. We agree on a fallback date when booking. Interiors can be photographed in any weather.
